Did the RAF have a transport comparable to the C-47?

No.

They had several different smaller types, and a couple of longer range designs built for the empire routes, but nothing modern and all metal that saw widespread service.

Even their post-war Valettas had spars going through the cabin, and their large 4 engines Hastings (produced 1947-52) was a taildragger!

Considering the passenger door, that Douglas probably isn't a C-47.
