All of a sudden, every topic shows that it has new items, then takes me back several years. I logged off and then back on but still have the issue. Any one else having this issue?

That's a new one for me.
Anybody else have problems?

That problem appears to be fixed but I had to log in again this morning for some reason. My cookie must have been eaten.

I am having the same problem. Thought it would resolve if I emptied my cache, etc. but no luck so far. Not a huge deal since I have a pretty good idea what I have and haven't read.

Mine had the same issue. I recently have had to login frequently when returning, which is unusual.

I recently (Saturday) had to rebuild the databases in order to bring the site back online. There might have been some unintended consequences.
Sorry for the annoyance and inconvenience.

Scott, I've noticed lately that the Search function seems to go dead for terms posted after 2007, but works for the same terms posted very recently. Was some of its capability lost when the databases were rebuilt?

It appears so, I am attempting to rebuild the search engine but due to the size of the database it takes forever.... like two weeks and counting... it is very slow going... about 4.4 posts per second and it stalls alot (though it gets restarted where it left off.) Hopefully it won't take too much longer.

I've been sick lately and haven't had the mental capacity to handle new software but I will be looking into software for WIX Mk. III which will hopefully make things betters. Unfortunately this will be a fresh restart and WIX Mk. II will be archived and locked (like WIX Mk. I was) and a fresh database will be created for WIX Mk. II

I think you mean WIX-A, WIX-B, and WIX-C. This ain't no Commonwealth organization! We use the superior American-style variant designations here!

All things considered I think we have been fortunate to not suffer more issues.
