About the Russian P-39s...Note the "commandeered" car.
Looks like a Mercedes 540K..or a similar Horch.
Today, survivors are worth millions.
One 540K appropriated by a U.S. Army general immediately after the war. Complete with bullet holes. It survives in original condition...Complete with the holes.

On the internet is a similar shot of Luftwaffe personnel with an American Cord 810/812.

The 109's are two different aircraft. The first one is an F model, the second is a G model.

The F model has two horizontal re-enforcement straps on each side of the fuselage just above the tail wheel that the G lacks.
The G has a bulge mid upper wing for larger wheels/tires when retracted.

Very eclectic, Mark!

What’s the story on the GE B-17 with all the bumps, bulges, and “tip tanks?”

I'd like to offer the opinion that the photos ostensibly at the GE airfield were taken, at the earliest, in 1948 and likely several years afterwards. Red stripe in the national insignia, the 'U.S. AIR FORCE' on the fuselage and tail being the telling points. The USAF didn't exist until 1947 and marking regulations were released some time after that. The presence of the F-86A bolsters that.

Boy, those are some nice photos.

It's an F-86E: date is circa 1951.

Whoops!! my bad on the dates, locations etc.
Most of these photos have very little, if anything, for descriptions. That's why I refer over to the REAL experts on WIX.

P-63 at the Rae farnborough

Very curious. The American "bubble top" P-63D didn't have the doors.

Further to my last, it's even later: F-86E 50-583 was bailed to General Electric from 19 January 1953 until 24 January 1954. So early 1953 maybe?

I am 99% sure the GE field is at the Schenectady County Airport (New York) and the current site of the Empire State Aerosciences Museum.
