So much for using "Full Flaps" ...

This was a C-47 named "Full Flaps" from the 4th Troop Carrier Squadron (TCS), 62nd Troop carrier Group (TCG). This accident occurred on 12 April 1945. Mustang Pilot Frank Mertely of 317th FS 325th FG in P-51D-10 44-14480 crashed on landing at Mondolfo Italy. C-47s 43-49530, 42-93784, 42-92683, 42-93785 were destroyed and 42-24333 seriously damaged, all of 4th TCS 62nd TCG.

Maybe not from that plane, but chances are the flaps could've been re-used on another plane.
