What companies/persons overhaul the Daimler-Benz 601/605 engine?

Mike Nixon at Vintage V12s definitely does... not sure who else at the moment, though.

Jose Flores has owned and run Vintage V12s for quite a few years now. I’m not sure whether they still do D-Bs

Rinner Performance Engines in Austria seems to be the ‘go-to’ place nowadays.

Jose was still doing DBs and a Jumo 213 for a customer a few years ago. Another employee was working on the 801 for Collings and Jumo engine work. I think Mike did the Jumo 211 for FHCAM in his private work area.

I think Dirk Bende in Germany can overhaul them.

I had forgotten about them. They recently overhauled a 601A for a 109E

Well that's mortifying, LOL.

Mike Nixon is at VINTAGE RADIALS http://www.vintageradials.com/about.htm. My apologies for the mixup!

That is interesting. Remodeling the DB series in digital is a good start. Are they just milled for static? Both Daimler AG and BMW want little to do with those engines, but I think they still may take issue with their intellectual property.

Mike just shared a few photos of their Jumo 213 and it appears unchanged since a couple of years ago, and still waiting on final parts.

The BMW is for a static but Mickael has a 109F project so probably will try go for certification for the Db series.
