Fascinating how you can tell they actually filmed a flyable Vampire, but also had to it shoot day for night. AND then add in a starry night sky. For a 38 min short that Disney decided to make for $5000, it's not bad. Agreed the story did take a slightly unexpected turn at the end with the second whammy of a ghost revel. But I thought it sort of helped the story a bit more. Anyone know how they shot Travolta's scenes? Did they actually use a runnable Mosquito somewhere? Or just a mocked up cockpit?

All in all I liked it. I thought it was a neat telling of a short Xmas Aviation related story that had its spookiness, but also its heart. And then for Disney to come out of nowhere with this was an unexpected treat.

Frederick Forsyth wrote this story as a ghost story.
He wrote it as a Christmas story for his wife.
