Jim Read's Corsair will be a no-show. The motor broke while at Mt. Comfort.

Looking forward to seeing you too, Alan! What time will you arrive at DTW on Thursday? I may be at the gate (I work for Mesaba) in the morning. I had mentioned on the 'WIX gatherings' board that we were looking into setting up a small tent (supplied by Dave Virant-'Racer-57') for use by the WIX folks on or near the crowd line. I didn't get any reponses. Is anyone at all interested in this idea? If not, I'll shelve it. So far on the ramp at Willow Run are:
two Wildcats
two TBMs
Thunderbird B-17
Super Catalina
Beech-18
T-6
Helldiver
P-47
....More to arrive today!

Jim

I think a tent would be most welcome. I believe acquisition trouble and expense is what caused a damper before. However if the tent is a loaner that sounds great.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I think I'll drive up there for the Saturday show, depending on the weather.

Hey Brad,

If you are going to go for sure, I could bring your Rawdon canopy frame over for you since I will be there on Saturday too. (That is, if you have something big enough to haul it back in.)

Let me know ASAP if this would help you out. I would be happy to do it for you.

Steve
