A few years ago their website indicated you could make requests for information via snail mail. I have sent three letters in the past requesting different information. I have yet to receive a reply to any of them.
From what I understand the post 11 September 2001 security enhancements has made it difficult for library volunteers to work. You however, a member of the USAF, might easily get permission to access what ever they have.
If you find out how an average Joe like me can make requests for information, let me know.
