I'm doing a serious search to try and locate this man. Some of you might remember his as a very prominent figure on the early warbird scene. He was a big money guy who flew fire bombers and owned a number of warbirds over the years. I believe he entered a Spanish 109 in the Reno races back in the 1980s.

There has to be SOMEONE amongst the warbird crowd who knows what has become of Mr. Beal. He is a key figure with some research I'm doing right now. He seems to have all but disappeared from the face of the Earth as far as I can tell.

Any clues?

The projects I can think of that are lacking spars are:

Jean Pierre Parizon
Gerald Yagen
Lex Cralley
Craig McBurney

Duane Doyle has two spars. Not sure if the one he's using is in good shape. I know the one he's not using is fairly well corroded.

Walt Soplata has the forward section for "Lucky Gallon" which someone might desire to restore/refabricate one day in the future.

I still haven't been able to determine whether Brian O'Farrell's wind machine will need a new spar due to the wing-fold mechanisms being torched off. He's not planning on restoring it to fly anyway so I doubt he'll have an interest.

That's really about it AFAIK. Of the above, I'd guess Yagen and Parizon would be the only two who might be willing to throw any substantial money at it. That said, there's always the chance that some of the better known fabricators might have some kind of interest, if it might somehow open the door to future projects and the like.

Yea I can think of someone who would desire to do so...

Thought Yagen sold his project bird?
