Some info for the P-40 Registry - references are in brackets for each entry, with full listing of references at the bottom)

39-285 is a P-40 not a P-40B (2)

39-287 is a P-40 not a P-40B (2)

41-13390 - Transferred under Lend Lease for Yugoslavia, Transferred to RAF after Yugoslavia fell Under Contract BSC1016, Transferred to Russia. Never allocated RAF Serial number (AH935 was a new build Tomahawk) Construction No was 16166 not 16194 (which was 41-13418). (1,2)

AK255 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 14766 not 14737 (which was AK226) - was transferred to Russia in Aug 1941 (2,4)

AK295 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 14806 not 14777 (which was AK266) - was transferred to Russia in Sep 1941 (2,4)

AK301 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 14812 not 14783 (which was AK272) - was transferred to Russia in Sep 1941 (2,4)

AK498 - Unlikely to actually be AK498 - more supporting data is required for this one, however AK498 is supported by Primary documents as going to RAF (1,2,4)

AK753 - Unlikely to be AK753 as this aircraft did not go to Russia - most likely a P-40E. The aircraft built as AK753 was lost when it collided with Blenheim Z7485 of 14Sqdn in dust storm whilst landing at LG97 North Africa 30 Jun 1942 whilst with 2 Squadron South African Air Force. (1,3,4,5)

AK875 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 15346 not 15349 (which was AK878) (2)

AL135 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 18779 not 18780 (which was AL136) (2)

41-5336 - Not going to touch that one.......story far to long for this page - lets just use a Jedi mind trick "this is not the P-40E you are looking for".

41-13570 - Construction number is 16786 (2)

41-25109 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 19308 not 19128 (which was 41-24929) (2)

41-35984 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 19817 not 18505 (which was P-40L 42-11115) (2)

41-36018 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 19851 not 18539 (which was P-40K 42-45741) (2)

41-36084 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 19917 not 18605 (which was P-40K 42-45807) (2)

41-36216 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 20049 not 18874 (which was RAF Kittyhawk AL230) (2)

41-36410 - Constructors number incorrect - it should be 20243 not 18931 (which was P-40K 42-45953) (2)
