Hi everyone, this is my first post on WIX, so bear with me!
I am currently researching a bomber from World War II that could possibly be a B-17 or more likely a B-29. But I'm not sure that it is really either of those. I do have some information on the pilot and the aircraft itself.
- The pilot's name was James Donald Hammond
- James Hammond (and probably the aircraft) were stationed at Briggs AFB in El Paso and later at Ben Guerir AFB
- The nose art on the aircraft was the cartoon character "Mighty Mouse" so I assume that's the plane's nickname
- The aircraft crashed over the English Channel, but James Hammond was not onboard at that time

Any help/information would be VERY much appreciated thank you!
