Okay, a real long shot here. My brother and I were talking about war movies we saw as kids. I am 57 and he is 62. This movie would have probably come out between 1960 and no later than 1965 as we moved from Denver at that time and we saw the movie in Denver.
All I can remember about it was a few scenes. It was set in WWII. The two things I remember about it were that the good guys used pieces off the bottom of a bed to make knives out of in order to escape. There was a scene, in a graveyard I think, where there was a woman with them and she had a baby. While trying to quiet the baby, I think they accidentally killed it. I originally thought it was Guns of Navarone, but that was not it. Any help from you military movie buffs? Thanks in advance.
