In 1989 "Always" came out. It was a remake of A Guy Named Joe. Proof that if you're going to remake a movie, remake a bad one. The best thing about A Guy Named Joe is that it is an infomercial for the P-38 Lightning. During WW2, females flew planes to forward areas and therefore the female delivering P-38's is plausible. What isn't plausible is the discusssion of a P-38 suicide misssion on a Japanese base. The female has to do it because the guys are afraid to, but guess what? She comes back alive! Propaganda film that the Japanese weren't alll that good at fighting, and we know better. One star out of five, and that one star is for the P-38.
