When one makes a military movie, it should be timeless. Granted, the story took place in 1940, but any ties to later decades should be avoided. In this flick, a prostitute is killed in 1965. An Interpol Inspector remembers similar killings during WW2. That leads to a former German General. Thing is, in 1965, police didn't begin to understand serial killers. The label serial killer didn't come along until decades later. The movie jumps back and forth between 1965 and the war. It is well acted. The inclusion of aspects of Operation Valkyrie are unnecessary and the movie is quite dated. Two and a half stars out of five.
