|Post subject:||WWII Nose art painted on DC3 access panels|
Hello I have a set of three WWII era DC3/C47 access panels for sale. Each panel has the nose art of one of the three aircraft flown by Don Gentile of Piqua, Ohio during WWII. This art was hand painted by my daughter who is a children’s book illustrator. The artwork is “Buckeye Don” which was on the Supermarine Spitfire that he flew, “Donnie Boy” which was on a P-47 Thunderbolt, and “Shangri-La” which was on his P-51 Mustang.
The large panel measures 31” X 25” the smaller panels are 21” X25”. All of the panels have a wire hanger on the back so they can be hung on a wall.
The price is $600 for the set of 3. The price is firm, and I will not sell them separately. In a further attempt to make this as inconvenient as possible, I don’t have any packaging to protect these in shipment, so they must be picked up in Findlay, Ohio which is 45 minutes south of Toledo.
Please understand that I do not have email tied to my cellphone. So it may take me a little time to get back to you. But I will check my computer several times a day and contact you as soon as possible. Thanks for looking.
She also has the nose art of William O’Regan’s P-47.
