I’m posting on behalf of the Solway Aviation Museum in the UK. They’re in need of an Aft Canopy Section for their HRS variant of the S-55. The aluminum-magnesium skin alloy has not withstood the years. I could kick myself as I had the opportunity to nab a new-old-stock one for free at the WhisperJet hangar in Reno a couple years ago but, passed on it because I was gathering other parts and I’m certain it ended up being scrapped.
We are making contact with Golden Wings Aviation but, I’m wondering if anyone can suggest another possible source? Where did the airframe(s) from Woodsy’s end up? Better yet, has anyone discovered who now owns the former WhisperJet, S-55 boneyard that is - or was - in Casa Grande, AZ.?
Any leads would be appreciated, THANKS!
