I found this part near Mojave, Ca recently. Approximately 2"X2"X1". CVS-43131-1 is stamped on one side and appears to be made of lead. There are scuff marks about 1/3 of the way up the slope that make it look like it was wedged under something. Any ideas?

Probably a control surface mass balance weight.
