was b-24A Diamond Lil used in the movie Unbroken? the airplane is obviously not a B-24D

from my knowledge of the movie (from having watched it once) there was no real airplanes used or abused in the making of this movie. it was all CG or for interior sets plywood mock-ups.

A friend of mine from Australia made the Mock up. No real planes were used.

The mockup had a tail gun setup exactly like Diamond Lil. I assume they used her tail gun as a reference when building the mockup. The actual B-24D depicted in the film had twin hand-held .50s in the tail, in place of the power turret. As mentioned above, I don't think any real aircraft were used in the film.
