Does anyone have any recent information as to the status of this aircraft? I picked up a copy of the "Air Classics" that had a full spread story on its restoration and reappearance at the 1984 Madera, CA, USA, airshow. Last reported location is with Kermit Weeks.

Here it is when at Kermits in Tamiami. It was damaged during Hurricane Andrew. I believe that it out west waiting to be restored.

I think in the hangar at Aero Trader in Chino. Been under repair for many years. Not sure it is much of a priority.

BDK,
Thanks for the lead on Aero Traders. Chino is only 100+ miles away and I'll see if I can confirm and maybe grab a pic the next time I am up that way.

Yes, give them a call and ask if you can visit. At least they should be able to confirm that it is there. I'm also at Chino Airport on the weekends sometimes working onmy T-6 project.

Whistler's Mother is indeed at Aero Trader at Chino. Kermit himself recently posted an update on FB and there is a YouTube video of him doing a wal-around as well. Wrenches are being turned and it appears to be moving along nicely
