Back in the late 1990's there was a museum called the Northern Indiana Aviation Museum located in Goshen. Did this museum close? If so where did their aircraft collection go?

If I recall correctly they had a TBM and C-45 as well as a cockpit section of a jet and possibly more.

Funny you should ask. I too was trying to find evidence on the net about this museum. In the mean time I have created a place holder in the Locator...

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php ... n%20Museum

I too would like to hear more about this museum.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I remember seeing a booth they had at Skyfest Michiana in the late-90s. They had a flyable T-6, C-45 and TBM, and also had a static TA-4J on display. They were also working on a T-33 project at the time. The TBM was owned by Steve Hay at the time and has since been sold to a collector in California who I believe still flies it regularly. As for the museum, I don't think they ever opened their doors and I haven't seen any information on them at any of the recent shows I've attended at any of the Goshen shows I've attended recently, so that leads me to think that they probably disbanded. As to what happened to the other aircraft, I don't know. The TA-4J might be the one that is now displayed at Elkhart, but that's just a guess.

Ditto on that Kalamazookid. I was also at Goshen this year and don't remember anything about the named organization.

I do remember how much the ladies with hats loved Eric's Skyraider  Met a couple of fellow WIX'ers and overall had a blast. Gonna miss that show now that I live on the other side of the country :(

I wonder if Tim Savage (fellow WIX'er) would have anything to add? As far as I can remember, I think the planes from the Shuttleworth collection in Huntington went to the WWII Victory museum in Auburn after the loss of Mr Shuttleworth?

Sorry I can't be of more help
