I am working with PB4Y-2 BuNo. 59876 at Yankee Air Museum. We have a lot of projects on the board. I am looking for any help with part prints - parts, new old or used - and photos of the inside of this type plane to get an authentic restoration. The work that has been done to this point is unbelievable. I hope to get some of the photos on line soon. This plane came to us as many piles of scrap metal and was literally reborn an Yankee

did you get one of the Hawkins and Powers airplanes or another one?
It seems to me that Gene Powers in Worland Wyoming bought back one of the five HP planes. maybe he has some books one them. I think a Convair museum in San Diego bought a plane too.

This is a Hawkins & Powers plane. She flew as 25-B25 & 125 with them. I have been talking with Lone Star in Texas, they just mounted turret's like we are going to install. Thanks for the lead, I'll follow up on it. JOE

Sad to hear that this bird is too far gone to be made into a flyer.

If you had seen the shape we recieved it in, would would have thought it was to far gone to save at all. I look foward to helping save her as best we can. Better center stage in the airpark, than in the scrap yard. We intend to have it looking like she just got back from a mission. Always looking for a little more help, any takers out there? Thanks JOE

any pictures posted anywhere. I have photos of #124 and #121 standing in the sage in Greybull. What does #125 look like now?

There is a picture and some history on warbirdregistry.org, search bombers then PB4Y-2 BuNo.59876. Also on the yankeeairmuseum.org site. Click on "our story", no verbage just a picture as she sits at the airpark at Willow Run Airport. The paint is different, it is a two tone blue that was never right. We plan to paint her Corsair Blue after the work is done. I am working on pictures that will post on the yankee site in the photos section. That link is in the box on the right side of the screen. We have alot of pictures, from Hawkins & Powers on the flight line, the crash at Port Hardy,BC. thur her arrival and rebirth at Yankee. Thanks-JOE
