Yankee Air Museum is looking for non service parts for a display engine. We have 11 pistons that are stuck fast in the cylinders. I think the one we got out was a teaser! Our hope is to build a rolling display. We are also in need of 1 intake manifold and piping. We could save the rods and cylinders but would have to junk the pistons. I have been told that the 6 cylinder engine cylinders and pistons are the same. If you have or know of any parts that could help, we could put them to good use. You can see our progress at www.yankeeairmuseum.org ,lower left corner, photo gallery, Ranger engine. Thanks JOE

Joe,

Try and locate a product called Mouse Milk. It s a penetrant oil that is the best I have found, far better than WD40. Or, try Marvel Mystery oil, another excellent product for un-seizing metals.

I buy Mouse Milk at our local aircraft parts store. If they don't carry it, they should at least be able to find it for you. It is the best I have found for that sort of thing.

Joe, I buy it from Aviall. If you don't have an account with them, let me know, I can order you a jug and send it over if you want.

Let me know....

If Kroil didn't do it, I doubt if Mouse Milk will touch it. Kroil is about as good as it gets.
