The DFW wing of the CAF is having there Warbirds event on September 3, 2011 from 10am to 4pm. This show just keeps getting better every year. The Cold War Museum will have there Mi-2's and Hinds in the air as well. On the flyer one can see the elusive all black O-2 known to brave the elements of the war torn skies of the DFW metroplex. Doug Jeanes from the Cavanaugh Flight Muesum usually brings over a few aircraft every year and maybe we can talk him to bringing there newly restored P-51 this year. There will also be several veterans signing books as well as reenactors offering a view of there equipment.
I look forward to seeing yall there...

Lynn

See you all tomorrow. Planning to take-off from Addison at about 9:00am. Don't know how long it will take to get to Lancaster......depends on how much fun is to be had on the way :D

Lynn...your wish is our command....where the sunglasses...she is very shiny! (And I dont mean Karen  )

And I agree with the Wixer meet-up.

Well, it has come an gone but there is always next year. There was a low turn out of aircraft but as Julian stated, the star of the show was the arrival of The Brat III. It was like a calf scramble when Ronnie arrived over head for his break to land, as everyone including myself ran to film the arrival. On the taxi in, all were blinded by the light as they parked infront of the DFW Wing hangar. To follow that arrvial, Karen arrived to gives us a L over D demo (lift over drag) followed by a landing. We all grathered around the Mustang where I found Zane, Brad and his wife Christine. I didn't see Karen. but I'm sure she was busy signing autographs:-0) We had great weather but were shy of Warbirds. The CWAM had all there aircraft and helo's out for display. They have come a long way and continue to put on a first rate display. They should be on everyone's museum list to see. I hope Justin had time to come up and see the show...
