The Heritage Flight Conference 2012 will be held at Davis-Monthan AFB March 1-4. It is announced P-51, A-36, F-86, P-47 and P-40. Does anybody know which of these warbirds will be attending?

The A-36 would have to be the Friedkin example - by word of it being part of the Heritage Flight Conference, hopefully we'll be seeing a lot it this year! It's an awesome looking aircraft, and fully out-fitted...

It's going to be an awesome conference, at least 2 F86s, the A36 (I get to fly it!), Bald Eagle, etc.

Any idea which active USAF aircraft will be taking part? Just wondering if the elimination of the single ship demo's has limited what will be participating.

Official press release from Air Combat Command is here:

D-M hosts Heritage Flight Training and Certification Course

Unfortunately, the F-15E Strike Eagle is absent from the list of aircraft participating in the Heritage Flight training:

This year's historic aircraft flying in the Heritage Flight training include the P-51 Mustang, the P-40 Warhawk, the A-36 Apache, P-47 Thunderbolt and the F-86 Sabre. ACC aircraft include the F-4 Phantom II, A-10 Thunderbolt II, the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the F-22 Raptor.

Can anyone give details about the markings? I've got a pretty extensive library but I don't have much on the A-36.

I wouldn't mind seeing a list of Heritage qualified pilots if anyone has one. Just curious. I've always thought of the Heritage and Legacy qualified warbird pilots as the cream of the crop, so to speak.

It's great to see a photograph of her again! I enjoyed seeing "Live Bait" up-close back in 2010 at KOSH, but I haven't seen much of that aircraft since.

I can only hope to imagine it flies just as great as it looks, Vlado!

Not certain, and you should ask him but I believe he's so busy with the black diamond team there just wasn't the time. That team is super busy this coming year.
