Okay so being passionate about warbirds and aviation and all, I have began collecting warbird parts, historical memorabilia and such. I one day hope to own or run a flying museum but for the time being I can't afford anything like that. Therefore I have started with small parts that interest me. This all comes with the dissatisfaction of family and friends who consider it a waste of money haha. For starters if you have any parts going cheap, sort of, and are in Aus or nearby message me? Second and more importantly I need your help. Below I will list with a pic each the items in my inventory. If you can provide any info or any of them it will be greatly appreciated. Also and this is a priority I am looking to restore them to museum or airworthy quality except I have no idea how and am afraid of damaging them and losing their value or historical significance, so to speak. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am generally just trying to get into the warbird scene more. I live in QLD, Australia btw.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your help.
Without further ado.

Thanks for helping and sorry for long post.

That Lincoln Door handle was fitted to the armored door inside the centre-section just aft of the main spar.
It looks something like this one from a Lancaster....

Hi So recently I acquired a few more items :).
I managed to pick up two Manifold Pressure Gauges and a Starboard fuel tank for a H13 Sioux.
I would restore the gauges but the fuel tank is in such great condition I don't think I would want to compromise that. It even has the rubber seals. You'll see it was inspected in Sep 73 so around the Vietnam era. Looking for any information on restorations or a Sioux or info on any parts.
Cheers

It's not in AU, but the Sandbar Mitchell folks are selling miscellaneous parts on eBay to fund the Mitchell project.

Not sure if anyone's interested in any of this but I figure I'll keep updating until I'm told not too haha. Got a few items lately.
First up is the Artificial Horizon Sperry Gyro out of a Dakota operated in the 90's. Still seams to work.

Next is the pics of the Pratt and Whitney Engine Valve

Another one is a Venner Ignition Switch for a DH Vampire, this piece actually works when turned however I don't do it so I don't bugger anything up. Might be useful in a restoration given its good condition.

Next up is my favorite piece yet, takes center stage in my shed. This is a bomb aiming computer used by RAAF Canberras. It has seen better days but overall isn't in bad shape at all. Out of the 5 or so Canberras I've personally seen only 1, the one in the RAAF Amberley Historical Centre, actually had this computer installed so it seams to be a rare item.
I really want to restore this thing so the knobs turn and everything looks nice. I've wiped it down a few times and I am currently scrubbing some the corrosion off on the inside.

Got a few more bits and pieces, slowly adding to the collection.
First is a Suction Gauge, not sure what from though.
Image
Comparison shot with my other suction gauge.

Image
Also got 12 historical books from the AWM series I believe. The two missing are Air Force ones. Didn't get a photo cause I'm too busy reading them.
Image
Image
Also a couple of parts from a wreckage. Both are P-39 which is cool cause one of my goals is to own a Airacobra.
First is a rudder pedal, bit smashed up but still looks like a pedal.
Image
Image
Next is a section of elevator. Interestingly enough it has the original part dataplate which is why I found it so cool.

Okay so another update maybe?
If anyone has any tips on restoration or acquiring more stuff let me know. :)
Bunch of instruments including, flying compass, air pressure and oil pressure, off a Lanc I think. Machometer is pretty generic Vampire would be a good guess. Engine RPM is anyones guess. Airspeed is Lincoln I think. And Cylinder Temp I have no idea of. And Lastly a F4 Phantom Electrical Attitude Indicator.
