Just got back from a press release by Stallion 51 at Columbus Ohio for the gathering next year. I brought Worry Bird which was one of four mustangs. Excaliber, Moonbeam, and Old Crow, were the other 3. Incredible airport with unbelievable support from the community for the event. I can't wait. Also got to eat breakfast this morning with Lee Archer and Don Strait. (spelling?) What a thrill to listen to the stories from these two real Heroes.

I visited with Kelly Gross of the 354th fighter Group last weekend. He told me that he's been invited
has one of the P-51 legends. He scored 6 kills inc. 1 ME-262. He's a very neat guy!

Anybody tried to get Hotel/Motel space yet. Lotsa' luck. It would appear that the organizers may have blocked a lot of rooms.

Mudge the premature
(I seem to be having this trouble with adjectives lately :? )

Just got back from the 354th FG reunion. They're planning their
2007 reunion to coincide with the P-51 gathering. Their only concern is having some alone time and securing hotel space. Kelly Gross, Lowell Brueland & Ken Dahlburg will be there has legends.

Yes - it was no problem getting rooms less than four miles from the airport and at a reasonable price. The hotel actually on the airport is the one that will be more difficult to get in to unless you are bringing a Mustang. Its also going to be much more expensive.

Never seen tires like that- must be radial ply...

We need a website for warbird tires I think.
