WIX gathering! 8) They are, shall we just say INTERESTING  All I can say is it's a good thing that we vary the dining establishments that we end up at as they need time to forget us so we can get back in again!
Of course it would mean a really OH DARK THIRTY leave time for you! But, anything to Further the Cause, Right!?

Yeah, it'd be a great time... I need to really figure out what I am doing this year, it's getting to be that time where I need to pencil out all of the airshows and figure out what I can make it to. A WIX gathering really would be a fantastic time... it'd be great to see everyone in person!

I really hope that I can make it to TOM and Oshkosh this year... I have already scrapped a family trip to FL and am considering not going back to TX until the fall, we shall see though.

Besides, might be better for the rest of the group if I don't join, lol, I bring a whole bunch of fiesty to the party. :)

Feist is what we like!! You have yet to be subject to THE WAYS of the COLONEL AND KEOUGH There'll be banging heads AND blowing soda out your nose! And then there is always the WIXmeister himself, Scottie-TOO-HOTTIE Myself, I just like to instigate, irritate and agitate! And of course there is always the rotating cast of neophytes to break-in   ..............But, we ARE gentle......................................

Besides, to make MORE TIME You can always cancel

I'm good to go any day after April 1st. Thats when my snow season status ends. I have to be immediately reachable by phone before that date and have a half hour response time to my work station.

Windsor Locks is a tad further than thirty minutes from home.

It looks like a good time all around, how fun!

Why does it seem like everyone on this site lives on the other half of the US? Where are my friends on the west coast that want to meet up? LOL... apparently you guys have all the fun. :)

I drive in blizzards for a living. That part does not bother me. It's listening to my boss bitch because I didn't show for work that I hate.

Yeah, Al, I've done my fair share of blizzard driving(Remember, I'm Postal!-Neither Snow nor Sleet nor Slop nor Slime shall stay these Couriers from their Appointed Rounds! The Mail Must Go Through..........) Of course I only got stuck once(In the Jeeps that was) when one of those big trucks with the Flashy-Whirly things and a Big Piece of Steel hung on the front came by while my back was turned and plowed me in! Fortunately half a dozen teenage boys were walking by. They picked up the jeep, set me on the plowed road and away I went! It was snowing and blowing so hard that day that as I delivered(Walked) my route, I would be up to my waist in snow before I could see that it was too deep to walk through! That was the Day Before Thanksgiving Day Blizzard of '89. Did you have the pleasure of being one of the Elite Drift-Busters on that one Al? Makes me glad to work inside these days!

Tim, Seeing as NO ONE ELSE seems want to check out the great white north, I guessI'llconcede and come south. Unless anyone has any suggestions on a destination in Mass, NH or VT that would be acceptable. Anyone else want to weigh in on the date? Once I get my time approved, I'll have a hard time changing it.................................

And, Your right ,Stephanie, We do have all the Fun Up Here!   Of course, if you get Real Desperate for {airplane}fun, Maybe next year we can take the Spring N.E. WIX Gathering out West. Okay guys, can you say "Road Trip"?! Yes, I know it would be just a little more than a Half-Hour Drive We Could Call it "The Ultimate WIX Warbird Hunt, Commanders Call and Beer-Bust Caravan" It would Probably make the National News! And we would definitely need the Brew-Master's services on this one! 8) 8)

I've been working all the beautiful blizzards since the winter of 87-88 Don. Rest assured I would never plow you in. I would make sure you were pushed well back off the shoulder of the road or down over the embankment. That way you wouldn't be in my way on my next go round.

Gotta keep those roads open you know.
