Naw, you need the one for the pilot. This is the Crew Chief of the Year award for the points championship.

Umm, back when there were more than one race a year!

Gary, have you thought about what kind of chute you will use? A compact seat cushion one might fit best and help with the comfort. If you need a small back pack one, I have a National 360 that has never been used for real. It fit in my small homebuilt. PM me if you need it.

Yeah, I've thought about the chute, but don't know how I'm going to fit in the airplane with it. I have a National 360 as well, but haven't tried sitting in the airplane with it on yet. I'm currently unable to do much with the little beast this week, as I have this whole deadline issue going on with some other ol' jalopy right now. I'll tinker with the Cassutt some more in a week or so.

Gary, I am going to be flying in Texas next weekend and may come through Midland aferwards. I can't part with it, but I use a Nat seatpack in the back of the Spitifre, if you'd like to see how it fits in the Cassut. It is fairly compact and seems it might work beter than a bckpack, since you need to sit on something. I realize you may be too busy, but hope you might have time for me to buy you a meal.

What wing is on that thing? Is it the "stock" race length, or a Stockbarger Hershey bar wing?

It's just a stocker. 15' wing, 16' fuselage length.

That Air Progress brought back some memories, when my dad and I started our Cassutt that cover was hanging on our shop wall. I can't wait to fly it...

What year /month is that issue? I have a pretty big collection of the mag, and if I have that issue it's yours.

The seat back I built is much better, but I've not received my new Oregon Aero cushions yet. They should be here in a couple of days.

I've yet to be able to fly the airplane since I got it here though, because I still don't have the radio issue worked out and Midland Tower doesn't take too kindly to non-radio airplanes flying around in their airspace. So I'm trying hard to get that fixed ASAP.
