I just read this now (I haven't been keeping up with WIX as much as I would like lately). I have a volunteer gig at Vintage Wings on Saturday, so I won't be able to make it to the do.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I was going to try to make it, but the Simsbury Fly-in got moved to Oct. 1st because of weather. I'm planning on setting up a sales booth in the flea market to un-load some of the airplane "crap" that has been piling up at home!
Have fun!

Scott plans to show up sometime around 11 am, So anything around then is fine to show up and whenever you have to leave (if you are leaving Saturday) that is fine too.

Sorry to hear that several of you can't make it, maybe it will work out for the next gathering, when ever that is?

I waited til I knew I could come before asking for directions. Today my relations told me that they are decending on me this weekend.

Sorry Tim, but I'm screwed at this point.

So everyone is at home or at least on the way home and I figured I'd post a few pictures of the day. It was really a great time and Kelly and I enjoyed haveing Bill & Sanna and Scott over for the day and a rather large assortment of meat, none of which was killed by us early in the day.

And more here if you care:

And just for the record no beer or any other adult beverage was partaken of before we pulled the guns out, it’s just a joke. If you don't find it funny I'm sorry, No, that is not true, I'm not sorry.

I'll hold you to that when I eventually make it down to Texas :)

I live in New York, for now, so the Gov has set limits to how much fun I can have. I think I may need to move my guns out of state after this election day. Looks like the dark clouds are going to roll in.

Pulling out the limited firepower was not planned, it just happened. Scott had been wanting to shoot for a while and Bill is into firearms so it just kind of happened, which I'm glad because it has been far too long sense I shot anything over a .22. I love .30 Cal, just love it! 8)

We New Yorkers aren't worried about HER. We're worried about what happens when Spitzer and Cuomo Jr. get elected next month. The state legislature is not looking too good for us gun nuts either. Now, back to warbirds!
