Just in case anyone is in the area that would like to drop by.
Here's a chance to see a skytrain doing what it was meant to do.
Drop Paratroopers!!

Jump into History with the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team!

Saturday, January 27th will be a day to jump back into the 1940's in
Frederick! The WWII Airborne Demonstration Team will be having Open
Hanger Day in conjunction with the winter Jump School, while the Frederick Masonic Lodge will sponsor an Indian Taco Lunch.

The Historic Frederick Air Field Hanger will be open to
the public from 8am until 5pm. This hanger was built in 1942, and is
the headquarters of the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team
(www.wwiiadt.org). The hanger is being restored by the Team, as well as
serving as the base for their Jump School, which will graduate several
jumpers that weekend. A demonstration jump is planned, along with the Wing Pinning Ceremony (both weather permitting). There will be several military displays presented by the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team, and the Killjoys Boys W.W.II & 40's Performance History Group from Dallas, Texas. Displays and activities will include: jump videos, parachute packing, presentation of different paratrooper uniforms and equipment, weapons displays and demonstrations. In addition, noted authors Mark Bando and Jack Mc Niece will be on hand to sign their books. The Hanger Open House will be at the Frederick Municipal Airport southeast of Frederick, OK.
