Anybody in Northern Indiana/ Southern Michigan going to see "Sentimental Journey" this weekend, June 21-23, in Benton Harbor, MI?

I'm heading up tomorrow to see her.

Had I been on the west side this weekend I would have come out to see her. Giving rides I assume?

I have been hearing reports of a Mustang coming to the airport in Benton Harbor to live. Any mention of this when you were out there?

No word on a Mustang having a home or future home at BEH.

It was dead when I was there (2PM) with only a dozen or so people were walking around. I think they head 1-2 people signed up for a flight that night, not sure if they reached their minimum for the flight to go.

The airport in Benton Harbor has been a staging point for the "Lest We Forget" demonstrations on the beach in Saint Joe. The event featured D-Day style landings and a Pacific style landing over the past few years. Not sure why they didn't have them this year.

In the past, the Yankee Air Force sent their B-17 and their B-25 to participate in the simulated landings by providing "air cover" as reenactors waded ashore. They also gave rides out of the airport.

Only one or two people signed up for rides isn't that surprising, especially in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Tons of manufacturing and industry has moved out of town, hurting the town and causing a pretty bad recession that has left crime and corruption widespread.

However, it would have been nice to see her coming and going. One of the best looking B-17s in my book! :D
