EDITED TO REFLECT MOST CURRENT INFORMATION:

The get together will be held Sept 30th at my house in Averill Park, NY (PM for directions). I’m located about 20 minutes East of Albany for a quick map reference

A tentative plan could be to travel down to the Newburgh area to see the Collings Foundation Tour (B-17, B-24 and B-25). If there is not a huge desire for that then it could be called off as it is a 2 hour drive down.

Other than that the idea is just to have a social event to enjoy some food, drink and fellow WIX company. Also if you have any food considerations please speak up and we’ll do you best to work something out.

Better-halves are also invited!

I can house several people at the house if you are coming from out of town or country. I can’t guarantee a bed but we have lots of floor space. I’ll just need to know who and how many and when you would like to show up and leave.

Tim;
This doesn't hit your dates, but the Simsbury, CT Flyin is usually a lot of fun. (Sept. 24th, Rain date Oct. 1)
Check out the website: http://www.simsburyfc.com

It's near NEAM, so everyone could take a short jaunt over there if they wanted.

Tim,

Would be fine with me to just hang out with some WIX folk.

We sure found topics to fill the time in Geneseo, Michigan, Reading, Willow Grove, etc....

The Collings Foundation will be near Newburgh, NY that weekend, which is another option for something to do. It’s always a good day to see a B-17, B-24, B-25 and fellow WIX member JimH. That is a 2 hour drive from my house.

Or we just meet at the house and hang out for the day, I’m fine with that also.

Tim

Ok, So I guess the date will be Saturday Sept 30th.

We'll plan to make the run down to see the Collings in the morning and then head back to my place for some food ,beer (wine, water, soda) and crack ( not the rock but the talk). We'll figure out a time to meet up at the house or at the airfield sson, I need to get some work down and I'll post the rest of the details.

It is a good thing I checked in here. Bernadette and I would very much love to attend. Let me see what I can pull off. I’m already gone three weekends of this month. Sitting around talking and looking at photos sound good to me.

I'm thinking it might be best to drop the trip to see the Collings Foundation, Sorry JimH. I think it will over complicate the day and take away from our time to hang out.

I'm sending out PM with my Phone number, Address and directions to my house.

Tim

It's been far to long since I was in attendance at a WIX gathering. Count me in.

If anyone wants my address in a version that will work with MapQuest I can PM you it. I don't want to keep sending you PM's on ways to get to my house or you may come and kill me.
