OK...Mrs. Mudge has her Class A blue uni. Looks great in it. (see MAAM thread.)
She also has 2 summer white uniforms that aren't white. They're off white. From the research I've done, I've found that they were custom made and were perfectly "legal" for wear in WWII.
I can't find any info about the hat cover color though.
My question is this...Would the hat cover have to be a matching "off white" or were they allowed to wear the "bright white" cover?
I can have a off white cover made if need be.
I hope one of youse troops know 'cause I sure can't find an answer on the internet.

I have no answers, but is this an off color topic?

I'm not seeing a White Hat allowance, but am seeing a ruling with the white summer uniform "Garrison caps are not regulation for the WAVES"

That is a female "combination cover."

OK..."combination cover". How do you clean it? Can it be thrown in the washer?
I know this might be out of your area of expertise for some of you, but ONE of the troops has to know.
