Those are nice diecast model shots. I have recently picked up that Hobby Master 1/72 "Really George" F-104C, also. Nice model. I am looking forward to the Corgi 1/72 F-104C model coming out this year.

Im not sure if you know or not but the Corgi's will be reboxed Hobby Masters & will have the landing gear fixed in the up setting.
They will also retail for more since the carry the Corgi name on the box.
Same thing goes for the Mig 21, Hellcat, Dauntless & Avenger models in Corgis new predators line.
But there will be some pretty nice paint schemes in the new line.

Yep Japan has been flying the F-15 for years, guess with China right next door having boat loads of Migs & SU-27's they need a good front line fighter.

The Stuka is made in China (like all things these days) but is does come with swastika decals you can apply yourself.
I guess thats helps them sell the models both in the U.S. & european markets like you mentioned.

Here are a few more, the F-16 & SU-27 have pitiot tubes but they were not installed for the pics.

No, I was not aware that the Corgi Starfighters would be "re-boxed" Hobby Masters. I am disappointed if that is the case, especially if they come with out the ability to be displayed on their landing gear. I tend to be very selective about my paint schemes, so Corgi will have to impress me to make me buy.

One example is the Corgi A-4 Skyhawk due out this year - I am not impressed by the paint scheme on this one and will not consider one unless they come out with a more colorful one.

By the way do you have any information on a Hobby Master 1/72 A-4 Skyhawk in the works, and what the paint scheme will look like?

Edit: I did a little reasearch and found that Hobby Master has a 1/72 A-4B "Gladiator" and an A-4M "the Last Skyhawk" due out about April, but there are no pictures showing the paint schemes or markings. Prices are in the $26.99 to $29.99 range for pre-orders at this time, but I wouldn't order without knowing what the paint scheme is. Apparently Hobby Master also has a 1/72 A-1 Skyraider (USAF SE Asia markings??) coming out which sounds like it might be interesting.

Below is a quote I picked up off another diecast forum regarding Hobby Masters and Corgi:

January 23, 2007
Hobby Master has issued this statement in an effort to clear up some misunderstanding or
confusion concerning the A-10 and A-4.

"Some of our distributors noted that Corgi will release the A-10 and A-4 in Sept. We would
like to clarify that these have no relation with Hobby Master products at all. In other words,
they are molds developed by Corgi on its own and not manufactured by Hobby Master."

This statement references the A-10 and A-4 models (examples of which are being issued by Corgi and Hobby Master this year), not completely sure if it applies to all other types of aircraft also.

Sorry for the late reply Jim I have not been on the forum for a while.

I stand corrected on a few things.
Yes the Corgi Dauntless. F-104, Hellcat, Avenger, Mig 21 & Stuka from their Predators line are reboxed Hobby Masters.
But they do come with both gear up & down options like HM (I was wrong about them only being gear up).
The other thing is that the Corgi versions have no weathering like the HM's so they look factory fresh.

What you saw on the other forum about the A-10 & A-4 is correct.
Corgi & HM will both have their own molds for those models unlike the Predators line.
