Looks like it's pretty much the same scheme as big beautiful doll. Sorry, no pics though.

It is, except BBD didnt have the checkers on the tail. But even the fuselage codes match BBD's.

Contrary Mary was I believe a post-war "tour plane" done up in ficticous kill markings, etc. Kind of like the P-47 of the 56th FG with "Zemke's Wolfpack" markings done for victory displays post VE Day. Not sure who the commander of the 78th was at that time, but I'm 99.9% sure that's the story on this attractive, yet ficticously marked a/c. The only decals I've ever seen (and I have a set) are from what I believe to be an old.......OLD boxing of the 1/32 Hasegawa kit. I'm afraid to try to use them because they'll probably shatter on me when they hit the water. If I do attempt that, I'll spray a light coat of Future over them beforehand.

Hope this helps!

Dont use future, use testors decal bonder spray, or microscale liquid decal film.

Liquid Decal Film is great stuff..I've used it for years. Anytime I have the slightest concern about an old decal I give it a coat of the stuff..you can lay is on with a brush and it dries almost invisibly thin.
