Post subject: | L-5 models or plans |
OK guys, help me out. Im looking for a large scale L-5 or L-3 model or plans. I have looked for years and cant fing anything. I have not built a model in years, but have been restoring the real thing. I would like to find plans for a balsa model to build to hang from the hanger rafters, but, I am not having much luck. Help! I love what you guys are doing. Wish I had the skills that you have. I just hope that I can build something that looks OK from 20ft. away. We had a group of modelers come to the hanger several years ago and measure the L-5's that we were doing and never heard from them again, so, come on, here is a cry for help. Hope to hear from you. Roy Vaillancourt has plans and accessories for a 1/4 and a 1/3 scale L-5. Roy is well known in scale circles and his plans are clear and accurate. http://www.vaillyaviation.com/Intro.html |

There is a nice kit of a J-3 that could easily be converted to a L-4. IMHO that would be the easiest and cost effective route. I plan to do the same in my hanger. ![]() I would love to build a scale L-5 and have access to several in various stages. But the time to build it would kill me. ![]() |
