Not to shabby Mike!

My dad always loved the P-38.

He was starting a 1/32nd scale photo recon version, but couldnt find the conclusive anwsers he was looking for.

Hes done 'Pudgy' and 'The Shadow' (night fighter) in 32nd scale.

Thanks. I build for myself for the most part. I have entered a few contest but just in the adult catagory, no master here.

Here's my whole display case I built. Got tired of all the dusting.

What info was your dad looking for?

Pastel chalk. I have a couple of sets, one earth colors and other grays/black/white. I just sand off some and put on with an old paint brush. I have one brush that I cut down so it's short and stiff the other is an old testors wide paint brush that lets me feather out the chalk. I mix the chalk some to get the shade I want. I picked them up at a local Hobby Lobby.

Fantastic job on the 38's. 8)
I have only ever built one, and that was a long time ago. I may have to hit the hobby shop and pick one up.

Lightweight...my Stash is somewhere around 400 (lost count years ago.) Fortunately, it's all 1/72 WWII so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

I think the most I have of any single type are a dozen or so B-24s of different variants.
