That is what we called scratchbuilding before photoetch became the "norm". I've had models in contests that the judges didn't think had enough photoetched parts on them. Just good ol' plastic and homemade brass parts weren't enough when readymade pieces were for sale in the swap area. Maybe if enough of us keep making our own parts the pendulum will swing back the other way.

That is crazy!! Ya know I love all the detail and stuff but even with the lights inside...I think its too much. For the waist blisters and cockpit,...it looks great because you can see inside. But with all of the angles looking into the airplane you wont be able to see his efforts that he put inside. The tiny little roll of toilet paper his funny!
