..1/72 Tamiya Razorback, to be precise. I finished this one a few months back, and with today's pics of the TFC's newly restored P-47 I thought I'd get off my lazy butt and post a picture. She's built pretty much straight from the box, with Eduard photo-etch seatbelts and "PYN-up" decals from the now-defunct Cutting Edge. I actually started the project five or six years ago after my wife got me the decals for Valentines day. I always wanted to do a 56th FG Razorback with the white nose and tail bands anyway, and not only does this one have some snazzy nose art, but Jackson County, Michigan is the next one over from where I live, and the next one north of where I grew up.

Paint is Gunze Acrylic, with a bit of post-shading along the panel lines, and a wash of artist's oils on the cowl and along the control surface hinge lines. I swiped a drop tank from another kit, as the P-47 didn't come with the correct one for this aircraft.

Cheers!

Steve

Excellent, Steve! Great work.

And to think all I got for Valentines day is candy...
