Tamiya 1/48 scale
I always thought De Havilland built the most beautiful aircraft. Even ugly Canadian De Havillands like te Caribou have a certain aesthetic quality to them. Mossie was always a favorite, but seeing Weeks mossie at Oshkosh some years ago made me want to model that version, with the bomber nose and wing tanks. A curious issue came up trying to figure how to weather a wooden plane. In the end, I just went with wiping streaks with a stained rag and some drybrushing.
This one has been in the works for about a year and ahalf, with a lot of time taken up by other projects. Pulled it back out a couple of weeks ago when I came to a break in my village project. Hope you like it!

Cool! I may have to dig my 1/72 one out of the closet and maybe start clipping parts off the sprues.

Nice! Those Tamiya Mossies are just gorgeous kits. I built the 1/72 B.IV a couple of years ago, and it was the most precise-fitting kit I'd ever built (until I built the Tamiya P-47!)
