Can someone please suggest a website (perhaps a US one and a UK one) where I can get an idea of the going rate of rare plastic aircraft kits.
I am trying to help sort out the personal effects of a friend of mine who's model aircraft collection goes back to the year dot.
I am still trying to get the collection in one place and in some sort of order but it seems to be well over 2000 kits but could go higher !!

The collection contains many Aurora, french, Lindberg, Hawk, early Monogram etc etc ...its like a time warp toy shop and if I was based in the US I am sure I would have a queue of interested buyers but I dont have the time to go the e-bay route and end up sorting out payments and international shipping.

Any "Holy Grail" kits I should look out for ?

Any advice appreciated

While I believe these prices are a bit high this would be a start.

For a reference point, I found (but obviously can't afford) an old RENWALL radial aircraft engine in 1/12th scale(came with blinking mini lights as 'firing' sparkplugs) listed on line @ $1450.00

i can sell them for you for a reasonable finders fee. please pm me if interested. i've done this many times to the satisfaction of the seller & myself. keep in mind i have been a broker for alot of military aviation items over the years, not just models.
