Had the Germans built the "Amerika bomber" and it could reach America, then it would have needed to be intercepted and fast. With Griffon power and 20mm cannons. And this is my answer to the Luft 46 bombers.
It started out a High Planes Unlimited Racer "Precious Metal" kit from Australia. The fuslage, canopy, props and spinner are High planes. The wings, landing gear, and horizontal stablizer and decals are Tamiya. Wheels are True Details. Cockpit is Verlinden. Wing pylon and drop tanks are Monogram.Cannon fairings are from Accurate Miniatures P-51. Cannon barrels are Quick boost.

:D, Beautiful conversion there John. I'm guessing it would be 1/48 scale. You've given me an idea to do this in 1/72 and in RAAF markings. Could be very interesting. Thank you for sharing your great model with us all.

Cheers,
Ross.

I'm not usually (or pretty much at all) a model guy, but this actually interested me. Despite the fact that it is from different kits and not based on any directions or blueprints, it does not look shoddily done or cobbled together at all, and looks like a prototype the military might have actually built. Be careful, if these pictures are shown out of context somewhere else online, someone might actually think this was based on a real life design.

I wanted to ask how you came up with the serial number for it though. Was it included in one of the kits you used, or did you create a fanciful designation?
