I recently started building models again after 30 years and started with two Guillows O-1 Kits I built them for display. The 2nd one is in progress and I am adding more detail than the first done in RLAF colors and markings. I am by no means a master builder but I sure enjoy building on those days I can't get to the airport.

Very, VERY cool! Nice work!

What's the wingspan on these? If it's anywhere near 1/24-1/25 scale, I might have to build one to display with my model cars. :?

Wikipedia says L-19 wingspan is 36', making 18" 1/24 scale exactly. Fabulous!

Thanks so much and again, beautiful work!

Very cool! So what'd you skin it with? Doesn't look like tissue or silkspan...?

Evening Kurt, sorry it took me so long to respond. I used stiff paper for the skins sprayed with Krylon matte clear before painting. The paper works better than thin balsa for display models.
