				Hi Ollie--
Very nice work. She's 1:48, I assume? Reminds me very much of the late lamented MK297 of the CAF, displayed for quite a while at CWH with a Seafire XV prop temporarily fitted. MK297 still wore her Piece Of Cake 1940-style livery; she had finally been partially stripped for a refinish in 1943 grey-and-green, when in the small hours of 15 February 1993...well you know the rest...

BTW I now have 7 Project Walt models done (Dan's sending me a Valiant to add to the diorama). Eventually I hope to have pix of them on Webshots...stay tuned.

				Hi Ollie,
Looking good, if only I had as much room on my work bench as you seem to have

				Yeah Steve, that's too bad...
Tony, I actually have a wee 1.5'x1' of free space on my workbench!
The rest is covered in ongoing builds!

I think I need to set up a workbench for my models. That way I can finish some. I’ve been working or I started a 1/32 P-51D about 4 years ago. Sill haven’t gotten it together. Plus I have several other 1/32 fighters to put together.

				Yes good idea.
I find that making models is a good way to relax, and if you can't own a 1/1 Mustang, at least you can have one in 1/48 or 1/32!!

And I can paint it any way I want, because I own it.

Wow, Ollie another fine masterpiece!!!! I see a ton of Testors Model Masters Series paints on the bench. Is that mainly what you use???? The cammo paint looks awesome. Something that I have yet to master

. Any tips???????????

				Hi Dave.
I use Model Master mainly for interior painting, which I do with a brush (you're talking to the guy who brushed the whole interior of the Accurate Miniature B-25D...).
I use Gunze and Tamiya acrylics for the camo jobs.
A tip? Just don't be afraid of screwing things up, go with the flow! I don't know how to explain what I do, just make sure you have a good thinned paint.

Hey Ollie, thanks for the tip. Great paint thinner always comes in handy

. My wife seems to tell me that I tend to use to much of the thinner as it is seeing that everytime she comes near my office it starts to make her woozy

. I read one time in Fine Scale Modelers that a gun suggested using chewing gum or even poster tack putty to cover the areas that you didn't want to get paint on. I thought that was a pretty interesting idea. I might have to give that a try someday.

Yes, you can do that although I go free hand and try to make the demarcation line as small as I can.
Life's too short to mask everything!
