DC-7 N381AA has been busy

Fri Dec 15, 2006 6:32 pm

I have been planning a trip to FLL for the end of January and was looking for some interesting things to see while we are there. While nosing around I saw pictures of the DC-7 from Miami and punched in the tail number on Flightaware.
It went from Texas to YIP today, Theres a DC-7 at Willow Run!

Hopefully we will be able to catch a glimpse of this thing while we are in Florida in January.

Why not contact owner Juan Carlos Gomez before you travel to Florida? Check out his website here: http://www.legendaryairliners.com/main.php

DC-7s??

Mon Dec 18, 2006 3:16 pm

The information on DC-7Bs/DC-7Cs is getting confusing. The "Flight Aware" tracking website does indeed say that a DC-7C "Seven Seas" recently flew into Willow Run. I hope we can find more out about this.

Of course the DC-7B (N836D) "Legendary Airliners" a/c in Forida is a ccompletely different airpland and the thread in the WIX Hangar forum concerning a "DC-7C to Fly Again?" is apparently a different a/c with another "N" number.

When checking FlightAware I find that DC-7B N381AA arrived at Willow Run on Dec. 15. This is the plane operated by Legendary Airliners boss Juan Carlos Gomez through his company Florida Air Transport. I notice the a/c is regd. to Turks Air whose registered address is next door to Legendary Airliners. The DC-7B also figures on their website.

N777EA is a DC-7C which has been stored in the Phoenix area for many years. Hopefully it will take to the skies again soon.
