Thanks Mustangdriver - I am getting to love the P51 more and more -the 17 comes first then the P51 then the Hurricane -of course Spits are cool too and when I see a good display by one that fires me up , best display ever by a Spit was at Old Warden -Shuttleworth Collection .Ihope to go to the Mustang Legends show

I like that B-17 painting. Do you have a photgraph of it in that paint?

Is there still a B-25 in a city park down there? Sevearl years ago I had heard rumors of some people attempting to bring it to the US...

Welcome to WIX!

Meat Haulers

I found these in my files over the weekend. I think these would have been taken in 1987 or 1988. A friend of mine flew the sister ship to the U.S. and was trying to help the family sell the last one. I advertised the plane for a few months before going to work for Evergreen. I think these photos are of the last B-17 the Bolivian company owned but I could be wrong. Tulio?

Who Is This?

Tulio,
Here's a few more. Not sure who the pilot is or what plane he's flying. He might have been the pilot or co-pilot who flew the first Meat Hauler B-17 back to the states.

Thanks So much , great shots ,CP753 is now with Paul Allens Flying Heritage Collection in Washington State ,not sure where that rebuild is up to

CP891 which is shown in my painting above is now at March AFB -This was the first 17 which came back from La Paz ,so the Gent you show may well be the pilot who brought her over all by himself !!

will be in touch some more

Tulio,
Here's a few more.

Al,

Thank you for sharing these shots.

Please accept my apologies, for taking so long to notice your latest posting; I have not visited WIX often in the last weeks, and when I have, I forgot to check all the threads.

Thank you again.

Saludos,

I visited La Paz in 1988 and at this time the CP-753 looked very much the same like the nice pictures above. So these pictures are most probably done during this year.

When talking about modelling, please have a look at the two pictures on the bottom of this page:
