Dan, What is the big high wing military job behind N137U?
Gary, Is the Chandler Howard the one that was parked near Pooner's Poon?

The Howard is a beautiful aircraft. How many total were built?

Canso42, Yep, that's where the Howard is. I am doing some research on the Howards, Learstars, and other variants. I too am interested in how many were produced...and what has happened to them...Gary

So did Israel get his $8400.00?

We are the owner of the Howard 500 Type Certificate and have all the drawings and engineering data.

We also own all the STCs to convert the basic airplanes into Howard 250s and whatever else Dee Howard had up his sleeve.

The Howard 500 is a true mans airplane. I spent my childhood flying around in one.

I'm pretty sure that's a Beech 18 Volpar conversion. I don't think any Howards ever had a nosewheel.

It is not a Beech 18 tri-gear. This is a Beech 18 Volpar tri-gear:

Wrong nose and it has big front gear doors. The engine cowls do not match the larger Howard engine cowls.

There are some Howards that were converted to tri-gear and the nose looks correct for the Howard 250:

The Dee Howard company did make many variations for the business world.

Definitely an H250 Tri-Gear.
