T'craft DC-65 SOLD!

Ryan, Roger and John, My father in law sold that blasted Taylorcraft today. Money changed hands and the new owner and his a&p went to work taking the wings off for transport.
I was asked to help market it but when I didn't tell in-laws what they wanted to hear, they got persnickety. They came down to $12k for the price and Buck just can't understand what's wrong with flying a 66 year old engine that's never had a MOH. Yeah it still runs smooth right now today but it might spit up a piston at the county line. The buyer lined up a one way ferry flight permit but his main wrench said "absolutely not."
I told Lynnett to ask her dad for the guy's name and address since I'd like to get in touch with him just to talk airplanes.
Work continues at Lone Star and I'm now involved with the Tiger Moth.
blue skies and bugs in your teeth,
Doug
