So Mr autogiro-pilot,

Do you find people edging away from you in formation flight as you approach them with whirling blades? :D

The bird belongs to Tina Thomas at Poplar Grove, IL, and has a Kinner R-55. Airplanejunkie has one just like it-

Bird ads used to boast that it could beat an autogiro off the ground, so when the opportunity came to get some air-to-air of both we had to do it.

Yeah, but could it land shorter and still have a usable aircraft?

BTW, my last e-mail to you had an offer in it, Andrew, did you note that?

But did the Bird beat the autogiro off the ground?

There does seem to be some momentum building to get the Pitcairn done. Progress has been slow but fairly steady and hopefully the pace is going to pick up a bit after the holidays.
