NATIONAL AIR TOUR reenactment. ten years ago already, geez... this was a beautiful day. hard work though, a looooong day. really cool though to wait and watch for each group of planes to arrive, despite the slow moving hours. most of the expectant throng were seniors, unsurprisingly. it WAS a weekday. when the big yellow one was overhead i have to confess my mindhole was blown. i did know what that was but have since lapsed. the pilot, i listened to him talk and man alive was he ever thick on the canadian bacon. his accent made the SCTV 'great white north' guys sound like BBC announcers. mostly i shot videoTAPE this day and not so many photos. this is all of those. rode the tri-motor. a few years later i got the right seat of another one. loved loved loved the trim control that was awkwardly placed behind the pilot.

dug the wing storage and how they popped out a hatch onto the wing.

i don't spend as much time here at vintage, so this may be dullsville to you all, but i hope you enjoy it.
